I would like to point out somethings... (probably aimed mostly at Liang, but also at those nano pilots who are against this).
Firstly, its clear that CCP is going to do something about nano-hacs...
This is probably because of the many whiners out there to a large extent, and whilst I disagree with nerfing speed mods, I do think something needs to be done.
Secondly, what the OP suggested is not new...(I suggested scripts a few weeks back in another post), and don't take his figures as being set in stone. They are only suggestions not final figures! He did ask for feedback... don't shoot the idea down just because it seems over powered in its current state.. discuss the numbers. (I would say 10001m - 15000m should be about 50% web, and 15001m - 20000m should be 30% web - depending on which web you're running). This would mean that even if you had 2 webs fitted, you would only be able to do 60% web at 20km anyway...(they should not have a range more than 20km, and maybe 22.5 with overheating). I don't thinks that this will negate rapier/huginn's effectiveness/usefulness, but it will give gangs without these ships more of a chance against Nano's while not completely removing Nano ships effectiveness - lets discuss how this could be done, and don't just shoot the idea down...
(And Liang maybe English isn't your first language, but he made it perfectly clear in his initial post that the scripts would only boost 1 attribute and he had already lowered the standard web effectiveness to 70%, so its NOT stronger at longer range).
Thirdly, rather than let CCP nerf our speed mods, we're trying to offer alternatives.
I don't like that webs are binary (either ON or OFF), they should offer different specs at different ranges. (Add some Grey area's between black and white).
Fourthly - I'm going to say this again (have said it in another thread), I do not fly Minmatar, but I still DO not want Vagabond's speed touched. Leave it as a 7km/s and faster ship... its Minmatar !!! It's supposed to be fast.
